Call for Entries


A Personal Landscape

This exhibition will be centered around photographer, Gary Samson who has traveled extensively. He will show images from his travels to Cape Breton and Ghana. Gary Samson is the current chair of Photography t the New Hampshire Institute of Art. This opportunity allows both established and up-and-coming artists to supplement a well-known photographer. Mr. Samson will be juroring this exhibition himself with the help of the gallery director and owner. Artists may submit any interpretation of the title for consideration, for example: literal landscape, bodies that look like landscapes…be creative! All mediums are accepted.

Important Dates:

Images are due to us for juroring: July 1st, 2010 at the latest

Please send a CD with the following:

-300ppi images with the longest dimension measuring to 10” labeled as follows: gfournier1.jpg

-Image list that states: 1. gfournier1.jpg (your first initial, last name, title, medium, price, year, dimensions)

-Resume, Biography & Artist Statement

-Your contact information (name, email address, physical address, phone number)

-$25.00 certified check/money order (entry fee for up to five images)

Artists will be notified of acceptance on July 20th

(Juroring will be taking place from July 4th-July 17th)

All accepted artwork is due to the gallery: August 31st (all work must be wired or wall-hangable, sides of paintings must be painted in a clean and solid manner (for instance white or black), all other work must be framed

The gallery reserves the right to decline artwork at the time of its arrival if it is damaged or was no represented correctly by the images. All postage costs are the artist’s responsibility. Please send a money order or certified check with the cost for the shipping to have it sent back to you (if it does not sell). If it does sell, we will add that money to your sale profit and send it back to you.

Exhibition Open to the Public: September 17th 2010

Opening Reception: September 24th 2010

Exhibition ends: November 5th 2010

If you are a local resident then you may choose to pick up the work on the following dates:

November 5th 10am-5pm & November 6th 11am-5-pm

(Artist MUST pick up all artwork on one of these days as we do not have storage space and we cannot insure the artwork’s safety after these dates).

Gallery Commission:

The gallery will take a 40% commission on all sales with the remaining 60% going to the artist. Please allow a two week period for us to process payments.
